Every Phoenix Ember trial is the whole product, free, for six weeks. No card at signup, no tiered "trial features" — the same platform a paying school uses, with your own data in it from the first minute.

What you get on day one
Your own school workspace, ready to use immediately: import your pupils from a CSV, invite your staff, and set up your first assessment cycle. Every one of the eight wellbeing domains, all 28 interventions, all seven report types and the alerts engine are switched on from the start — there is nothing to unlock later.
If you'd rather see the product before touching your own data, ask for a short walkthrough — a few sample pupils loaded so you can click around safely first.

A suggested six-week rhythm
You can move at whatever pace suits your school, but most schools that get real value from the trial follow something like this: Week 1 — import pupils and staff, run your first round of check-ins on one class or year group. Week 2 — read the profiles that come out of it, add an observation or two. Week 3 — assign an intervention where a score needs support, and log a session. Week 4 — let the alerts engine do its job; see what it flags. Week 5 — generate a Cohort Report or an Individual Support Plan and see what a governor or an Ofsted inspector would see. Week 6 — decide.
None of this is enforced by the platform — it is simply the order that answers the real question ("does this save us time?") fastest.

What the trial does not do
It does not ask for card details to start. It does not silently convert into a paid subscription — nothing is billed automatically when the six weeks end. It does not limit which features you can use, how many pupils you can add, or how many reports you can generate.

When the six weeks are up
If Phoenix Ember has earned a place in your school, you move to a paid annual subscription and keep everything you built during the trial — pupils, assessments, interventions, the lot. If it hasn't, you simply stop using it; nothing is charged and there is no cancellation process to navigate.
Either way, get in touch before the trial ends if you want more time, want to bring in another year group first, or just have questions — there's a person on the other end of that conversation, not a support ticket queue.
